In this section, you can add, edit, or delete professional experiences. Each experience you add will be displayed in your hard skills and soft skills, giving recruiters a clear overview of the skills associated with each of your experiences.

1. Add/Create a New Experience

Click on the "Create New Experience" button: Located in the secondary navigation menu (see 2. Secondary Navigation).

1.1. Tab 1 - Main Settings

In this tab, you will enter the main information about your professional experience.

  1. Job Position: (Required)

    • Description: Enter the title of the position you held.

  2. Company Name: (Required)

    • Description: Enter the name of the company where you worked.

  3. Company Logo: (Optional)

    • Description: You can upload the company's logo to display it on your personalized page (see 4. Tips and Tricks)

  4. Location: (Optional)

    • Description: Indicate the city and country where you worked. This field is optional.

  5. Start Date: (Required)

    • Description: Enter the start date of your experience. The date can be entered as a year (e.g., 2024) or as a year-month (e.g., 2024-01).

  6. Duration of Experience: (Required)

    • Description: Enter the duration of the experience in months. The duration will be automatically converted into years and months on your personalized page if necessary (see 4. Tips and Tricks).

In this tab, adding a text is optional, but it can be useful to give recruiters a better understanding of your technical skills.

    Description: Write 1 or 2 sentences describing the technical skills you applied during this experience.

2. Edit an Experience

To edit an existing experience, follow the steps below:

  1. Choose the experience to edit: In the summary table of your experiences, find the experience you want to edit.

  2. Click on the three horizontal dots (⋯): Located to the right of the selected experience.

  3. Select "Edit": Click on "Edit" to access the editing screen and make the necessary changes.

3. Delete a Professional Experience

There are two ways to delete a professional experience from your list:

  1. Using the checkbox selection:

    • Select the experience(s) you want to delete by checking the box next to each. You can select multiple experiences if necessary.

    • Once selected, a "Delete" button will appear at the top of the summary table. Click it and confirm the deletion.

  2. Using the three dots (⋯):

    • In the summary table of your experiences, click on the three dots (⋯) next to the experience you want to delete and select "Edit."

    • Click the trash icon 🗑️ in the top right corner of the page.

    • Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the experience from your list.

4. Tips and Tricks

  1. Current Experience: If you are currently in the position you are describing, indicate the duration of the experience in months up to the time of your application. This allows recruiters to see an accurate and current duration of your experience.

  2. Getting the Company Logo: To get the company logo, go to the company's LinkedIn page, right-click on the logo, and select "Save image as...".
